Commercial Waste Receptacles
Outdoor litter bins and waste receptacles for parks, streetscapes and campuses, built on marine-grade aluminum frames. About commercial waste receptacles
A public waste receptacle has two jobs that pull against each other. It has to take a coffee cup without fuss, and it has to refuse a bag of household garbage. Most of the bins here settle that with a restricted opening of 6 to 8 inches under a top that cannot be lifted off, the Modena Curved Top Waste Receptacle and the Beselt Square Waste Receptacle among them. The Urban Form Easy Access Waste Receptacle goes the other way, with 8-inch openings on all four sides for a busy plaza.
Capacities run from 20.5 US gallons in the West End Waste Receptacle to 55 in the Freedom family, with two-stream recycling stations at 60. The Pipeline Waste Receptacle sets its liner on the ground, which keeps the unit to 27 inches tall and 52 pounds and makes a bag change a shorter reach for the crew.
Frames are marine-grade aluminum with stainless steel hardware. Cladding is recycled plastic lumber as standard, with cedar, Accoya, bamboo or all-aluminum on many models. Servicing is keyless on most units, through a hidden latch or a recessed handle lock, and an optional hands-free foot pedal seals the opening against pests between uses.

I would like to pass on our thanks to you and your amazing staff for all of their assistance and hard work in making our downtown revitalized and beautiful. It has been a few years now since we have installed our bear proof waste bins, recycling bins, benches, bike racks, and picnic tables. They are weathering very well and still look new, even though the snow and ice try their best to wear them down. It is exciting ot see so many people sitting in our downtown core enjoy a coffee or ice cream or just taking a break from their day. Our downtown has been transformed into a welcome place for people to socialize and rest and just feel at home. You and your staff have been very helpful when we have needed adjustments made on garbage bins, new decals sent out (valdalism - they seem to go missing) and any time we have had to order new items for other parks around town. We are installing picinic tables, garbage bins and benches that match the downtown in our parks around town as we are so happy with the durability of the product.

Questions
What opening size stops household dumping?
A restricted 6 to 8 inch opening under a fixed top. The Modena Curved Top Waste Receptacle, Beselt Square Waste Receptacle and Modena Square Top Waste Receptacle all use it; the square-top Modena's opening adjusts up to 16 inches where a site needs more.
Are there animal-resistant waste receptacles?
Yes. The Freedom family has rodent-resistant models with a spring-loaded loading door for raccoons, squirrels, rats and gulls, and a certified bear-proof version, in 32 and 55 US gallon sizes. Modena and Beselt units offer an optional foot pedal that seals the opening between uses.
How do crews service the liner?
Most units open through a hidden keyless latch or a recessed handle lock on a side or front door. The Pipeline Waste Receptacle keeps its liner at ground level in a 27 inch tall unit, so the bag lifts out with less reach.
Can a waste receptacle match a bench family?
Yes. The Modena Curved Top Waste Receptacle, Skyline Waste Receptacle and Beselt Round Waste Receptacle are each styled to their bench series, and the round profile of the West End Waste Receptacle sits alongside most families.
